In response to an invitation to create a whisky for the Caithness Viking Festival soon after their first bottling in 2016, Wolfburn developed a unique series influenced by the Viking runic alphabet. The Kylver Series, inspired by the runes of the Kylver Stone, This is the 8th edition. Each Kylver edition is matured in exceptional casks, sharing this commonality while remaining uniquely individual. Kylver #8, a single-cask expression, comes from an Oloroso sherry methuselah (cask number 745) filled in 2013. With seven years of maturation, this cask has transformed Wolfburn's characteristic smooth, sweet spirit into a whisky of remarkable depth and richness. Limited to 980 bottles, Kylver #8 continues Wolfburn's tradition of exceptional whisky craftsmanship
