About the distillery

Hakushu Distillery was founded in 1972 by Keizo Saji. The distillery was built in 1973 having a system of 24 varied shaped stills. The Whisky Produced was only used for blending. Its production ran well and a 2nd distillery was built in 1981 and was constructed to run together with the initial built distillery however the original distillery closed its doors in 1990.
